BACK IN TIME
In 1984, Jan de Rooy and a group of dealers saw an opportunity to organize a motorcycle event. The occasion was the cancellation of MotoRai in Amsterdam that year, which opened the door to create a new motorcycle gathering. The event was an immediate success, drawing over 27,000 visitors.
After the initial success, it was decided to expand the fair. The following year, the event moved to the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, where more space was available. Over the years, the fair has only grown and improved. Originally a dealer fair, it evolved into a full-fledged motorcycle event with a wide range of brands and importers after MotoRai was discontinued.

With visitor numbers fluctuating between 80,000 and 100,000, MOTORbeurs Utrecht is one of the largest motorcycle fairs in the Netherlands. Some exhibitors have participated since the very first edition, a testament to the event’s rich history and enduring appeal.
